STUBAI GLACIER KINGDOM OF SNOW

In Austria’s biggest glacier ski area winter sports athletes can enjoy a quality programme with 26 cable-cars and lifts.

Guests from all over the world can conveniently get to one of the most fascinating mountain areas of the Tyrol, which is

only a 45-minute drive from Innsbruck. 35 downhills in the ski area, which is located amidst impressive 3,000m-peaks, offer a perfect challenge for all levels of ability.

Beginners and advanced skiers can enjoy making their turns in the natural snow and through finest powder snow.

Absolute highlight for skiers with good fitness: The 10 km -long (!) downhill from the Wildspitz mountain station (3,210m) to the valley station 1,750m).

Families appreciate the top resort in the Austrian Stubai Valley also for its child-friendly philosophy. In the BIG Family Ski-Camp trained carers lovingly look after the ski kids. The Tyrol's model family ski area also pampers parents - with top conditions. Children under 10 years ski for free if accompanied by a paying adult. Not surprising that the Stubai Glacier was crowned being the most family-friendly ski area of the Alps by the ADAC ski guide from 2009 to 2013.

Very reassuring – the “Kingdom of Snow” offers snow guarantee from October to June. Understandable that it is also the home of the Powder-Department, a freeride skiing and snowboarding paradise with a difference and of the Stubai Zoo Snow Park offering a variety of challenges for young freesride skiers and boarders.

Delicious prospects for all styles … Exactly! You can indulge at the Alp’s highest-located toque-awarded restaurant, the Schaufelspitz restaurant, just like in any other of the numerous restaurants in the ski area.
